Lapham-Hickey Steel’s sophisticated slitting
equipment sets the standard for a wide gauge
range and highly efficient and productive coil
processing. Each slitting line was designed for
operating efficiency and versatility.

Our equipment provides straight sided, precise
width, tightly wound slit coils through a gauge
range of .001 to .375 and a width range of .062" to
72" wide. Other features include width tolerances
as close as +/- .003" and coils up to 72" O.D.

One of our 60" wide Braner Loopco Slitters is
equipped with a Cluster Leveler. The Cluster
Leveler is a patented roller leveler designed
to correct shape defects such as wavy edge
and center buckle. The Cluster leveler corrects
strip shape defects in exactly the same manner
as strip shape is corrected in any common
backed-up “roll bend” leveler.
